VCA Graduate Training Scheme
Joining the Vehicle Certification Agency, you will get stuck straight into on-the-job training with our engineers. We test a huge variety of vehicles to European and Global standards. You will have the opportunity to test vehicles in subjects including emissions, real world driving, noise, seat belt anchorage, lighting, tyres, electric vehicles and brakes.
The graduate scheme is a two year training scheme after which, subject to performance, you will remain in the team, taking on the full duties of a Type Approval Engineer. You will be supported in your journey to either Chartered (CEng) or Incorporated (IEng) status as you are assigned a mentor and will do a series of placements to build your skill base and see different sides of the automotive industry.
You will have the opportunity to do extensive travel both within the UK and internationally, working with some of the biggest names in the automotive industry.

The best thing about working for VCA is the variety. As there are so many aspects to regulating vehicles, safety or environmental, the breadth of different tests that can be seen on a daily-basis is quite staggering! This, in itself, provides a fantastic opportunity to learn about a highly diverse range of vehicle-based technology, from cutting-edge OEMs. The learning never ends!
