Digital portal now live for Type Approval enquiries and applications for all schemes

We are pleased to announce that the latest enhancements to our self-serve digital portal are now live. From the 5 February 2024 Type Approval enquiries and applications for all schemes must now be made through our new portal which can be accessed here 

The latest enhancements to the portal make it quicker and easier for you to manage applications online and will provide much better visibility and control of your approval work. You should now use the digital portal when:

  • Requesting ‘provisional’ approval numbers for future jobs. 
  • Processing type approval enquiries and applications for all schemes. This will replace the pdf form previously emailed to start a job.   
  • Sharing documentation through the portal or via SharePoint links.   
  • Managing portal access with account logins managed by a primary account contact.   
  • Requesting assistance and support for all type approval enquiries.

The ability to progress AES/BES applications via the portal will be introduced in Spring 2024.

To help address some of the more common questions you may have when using the new portal, we have put together a comprehensive User Guide and Frequently Asked Questions document which are both available in the ‘Portal Guidence’ tab on the portal page.

We’re also running six customer webinars throughout February and March 2024 to provide a demonstration of the portal, as well as an opportunity to ask any questions.
