1Only components which are approved separately to the Whole Vehicle are considered in this category.  These types of components will need to have their own approval number and marking on the product.  Components approved by the vehicle manufacturer will be covered through the system approval and do no need to be marked.  For example, a washer bottle approved by the vehicle manufacturer and included in their whole vehicle will need a system approval in line with the dates for that vehicle category.  A washer bottle approved by a component manufacturer and used by the vehicle manufacturer as part of their approval will need a component approval in its own right.
